COLORS OF LIFE

The many colors rainbows wrought
And memories made in kind,
Experience, like the shades of life,
The synapse of your mind.

The infrared of deeds untold
Dark shades of deeds revealed,
Add power to the life we hold,
The paintbrush that we wield.

And through the spectral dust of age
We see the pigment change.
Our palate runs with brighter tones;
Our lives we rearrange.

We run the gamut of these hues,
Life's spectrum as our goal;
But in the end we do reveal
The portrait of our soul.
